Workout Gear - Run In Style

Recently, I made a decision to sign up for the Colfax Half Marathon here in Denver [I know, what the hell was I thinking]. I used to be a runner, used to being the operative word here. But I haven't consecutively trained for a race in a few years now, and every time I try to get back in that run game I fall off track pretty hard.

This time - I've got a secret weapon - and it's called cute workout gear. Seriously though, there's other weapons, like my old college teammates who've been nagging me into motivation mode. But some killer new gear has definitely given me the desire to hit the pavement this time around...

Colorado weather is whack, so you never know if you're gonna need to bundle up or shed it off. Layers are clutch here. I scored this lightweight Merrell jacket at an event awhile back, and it's the perfect running partner. It protects from the wind and offers just enough warmth that you're not sweating your ass off once you get going.

This stocking cap has also got the sporty vibes going on. I usually don't run with a stocking cap unless it's frigid out and I really need the extra warmth, otherwise I opt for the much dorkier headband [because I'm cool like that].

Let's dish about these LEGGINGS shall we?? Love at first-shopping-site for me. Not only do they have my go to zippers, but that print is just too much fun. I wear these often, they're good for yoga, running or you know - sitting around the house watching trashy reality TV, whatevs.

Getting down to the business, the running shoes. I was always an Asics girl growing up running, but I like New Balance for their support and these colors are killer. If you're serious about getting into running, go to a local running shop and get fitted for not only your shoe type, but your training goals (Runner's Roost is a great spot in Denver). These particular sneaks are more for short distance runs or speed training. At the end of the post I linked similar styles in cuteness factor, but not necessarily the same type of running shoe.

Who doesn't like a good motivational quote printed on a comfy tee to get you out the door? Every little bit helps, I tell ya.

I've been into backless tops lately, pair it up with a unique sports bra and it's like your own fashion show on the running trails! This sports bra is actually really supportive too, Forever 21 for the win.

Links below and here's to achieving those 2016 goals, people! #gulp

  3. There are few disadvantages by following this method. I will show you my best cardio workouts at the end of the article, but first I'd like to correct some comprehension of cardio exercises routines.
