Ophelia's boozy brunch

I'm a big fan of exploring new restaurants in the Denver food scene, so when I heard about the former brothel turned good-eats-spot, I put it on the top of my "must visit" list. We picked a Sunday and ventured to Ophelia's Electric Soapbox for a morning brainstorm/bottomless mimosa sesh. If it's not bottomless, get outta here.

Haven't been to Ophelia's? Go. Just do it. Trust me.

The atmosphere is perfect for a Sunday Funday. The staff is incredibly friendly and the deco is eclectic and adorable.
Note the 'Wet & Ready' water carafe.

We sat outside because it's impossible to turn down a good patio on a beautiful Denver day, but you also have the option to sit inside and listen to some great tunes. In addition to its spicy history, it plays live music throughout the day.  Mimosas and music? Yes, please!

A big shoutout to our waiter, James. He brought us a couple of breakfast shots that really kicked off our Sunday Funday. You're alright in my book James, but I'm placing the blame on you for my shitty Monday morning.

The menu is delicious and just as adventurous as its sister restaurants - Linger and Rootdown (my usual brunch favs). I had the Nacho Flatbread and it was just what I needed. Savory with a little bit of crunch, and I recommend it to anyone needing a satisfying brunch meal. I'm a waiter's worst nightmare when it comes to choosing a dish. Seriously, I'm so indecisive when the menu looks that good, so I've learned to pick a couple entrees and make the waiter decide. James, you done good again.

Do I recommend this place? You bet! I plan on revisiting for a date night some day soon. Until then, I'll just drool over pictures of my nacho flatbread and light candles with matches from the five matchboxes I jacked from the hostess stand.
